MP from the Al-Fateh Alliance Mukhtar Al-Moussawi warned, on Monday, of an American-Gulf plan to move some of the groups infiltrated before the session of granting confidence to the government of Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi, stressing that all political forces are at stake and they must prove their existence to thwart any foreign scheme.
Moussawi said in a statement to the "information", that "the infiltrators seek to push the people of the central and southern governorates under the pretext of demanding the toppling of the Prime Minister-designate Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi before his government gains confidence in parliament," noting that "an American-Gulf plan is behind this."
He added, "There are political and media tools that seek to try something before the extraordinary session of the parliament," noting that "all political forces are at stake and they must prove their existence to thwart any external plot."
Allawi had received a phone call from Emiri Foreign Minister Mike Pompeo, congratulating him on his assignment to call, the first of its kind since the assignment three weeks ago. Ended / 25h
