This comes after the recent attacks that targeted the Al-Taji base and the subsequent American response that targeted bases for the Hezbollah militia.
It was not yet clear the losses of the pro-Iranian Hezbollah Brigades due to the American strikes, but US Central Command chief Kenneth Mackenzie confirmed that it had destroyed five sites used by the most prominent militia in Iraq to store the missiles used in attacks against American interests.

For his part, political analyst Raad Hashem said, "The US disciplinary strike will limit the activities of the Hezbollah militia, although the indications were of broader strikes and include areas where there is an effective presence of these militias."
Hashem believes that the continuation of American strikes against pro-Iranian militias in [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] will accelerate the flight of their prominent leaders and assistants to Iran again, but this time more than what happened after the killing of Soleimani.
Hashem indicated that targeting militia bases and warehouses is important, but this must be accompanied by targeting leaders and heads.
He continues, "This matter will scatter the militias and weaken them greatly, and a good example of this is how targeting Muhandis and Suleimani has also shattered the military and political militia front."
Hashem expects that the pro-Iranian militias will continue to strike against American interests in Iraq, and perhaps use more of the experience of the Revolutionary Guards in this field to escalate the conflict with the United States.
