The Iraqi Foreign Ministry began to mobilize the international effort to condemn the recent American raids on military headquarters in different regions of the country.
Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Al-Sahaf stressed that continuing to mobilize the international effort from friends and partners to confirm the content of the two identical letters delivered by Iraq to the United Nations and the International Security Council to condemn the American aggression against military and security installations and popular crowd sites.
He pointed out that the State Department called on the Security Council to assume its responsibility to prevent the United States from committing such unlawful acts, and to hold it fully responsible for human losses, infrastructure due to hostilities, and flagrant breaches of the conditions for the presence of its forces in Iraq, indicating that any legal justification issued by the states United is an attempt to escape international accountability.
He added, that his ministry will put this file in all international forums to communicate this complaint, stressing that Iraqi sovereignty is not an option, but rather an inevitable path that the State is working to devote.
