Today, Monday, the Al-Fateh Alliance unveiled a project it called a "soft coup" planned by the Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kazemi.
The deputy of the Al-Fateh Alliance, Muhammad Al-Baldawi, said in an exclusive interview with the "National News Center", that "Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi began implementing the" soft coup "project long ago through the change processes that affected the leaders of the security services in various governorates of Iraq. ,
Stressing that "the recent Tayaran Square incident proved to us this scheme after changing it to the best officers and ranks for their positions."
He added, "Al-Kazemi resorted to the liquidation of the intelligence apparatus recently and transferred 300 of its members to the border outlets under false pretenses," noting that "there are many employees in other departments that can be used instead of intelligence agents."
He pointed out, "What the Secretary General of Asa'ib Ahl al-Haq, Qais Khazali, spoke about about the UAE’s interference in the intelligence apparatus, has become clear and there is constant information about this external intervention that was revealed in the demonstration squares."
He warned, "of the seriousness of this issue," describing the issue as "the great crime against Iraq and its people."
Regarding the procedures that the political blocs will follow in this regard, Al-Baldawi said, "There is a political and parliamentary move to interrogate Al-Kazemi, but the latter does not respond to the request of the representatives." .
Al-Baldawi concluded by saying that "Al-Kazemi seeks, through these security changes, to control the country, to renew his mandate for a second round, and this has become clear to us through his movements with his team that works with him."
Earlier today, the National Intelligence Service commented on the accusations leveled against it, after transferring a number of its officers and employees to the Border Ports Authority, stressing that it retained its legal right to prosecute anyone who tries to undermine the dignity of its members.
The agency expressed its surprise at such statements that go beyond all natural contexts to deal with the sensitivity of the agency and the nature of its work, not to mention the challenge of its national affiliation, against the background of normal administrative procedures such as transferring a group of its employees to another institution.
He explained that the aforementioned administrative procedure was carried out in accordance with this national and professional vision and in response to the request of the Border Ports Authority regarding the need for a group of elements to support the professional and security work of the outlets, and reached the agency according to fundamentalist channels, and the agency responded to this duty after studying the legal contexts.
