    Today, Wednesday, Oil Minister Ihsan Abdul-Jabbar discussed with the Egyptian ambassador in Baghdad Ahmed Ismail the timetable for the implementation of the "Basra - Aqaba" pipeline project and the possibility of expanding it to Egypt as a new outlet for Iraqi oil exports to North Africa.

    On Wednesday, Oil Minister Ihsan Abdul-Jabbar discussed with the Egyptian ambassador in Baghdad Ahmed Ismail the timetable for the implementation of the "Basra - Aqaba" pipeline project and the possibility of expanding it to Egypt as a new outlet for Iraqi oil exports to North Africa.    
    "The minister emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation between Iraq and Egypt and increasing opportunities for development and joint work between the two countries, especially in the oil and gas sector," the ministry said in a statement received by "Al-Eqtisad News". Oil, during his meeting in his office today, the Egyptian ambassador in Baghdad, Ahmed Ismail.  
    The minister added that "one of the goals of the government and the ministry is to work to strengthen relations with the countries of the world, the region and the neighboring countries, especially with the brothers in Egypt, and that this falls within their priorities, especially in the development and strategic projects that serve the interest of the two brotherly peoples."
