Hussein said in a joint press conference with his Swiss counterpart Ignazio Cassis, that "the visit of the Swiss foreign minister to Baghdad is the first of its kind," noting that "during the meeting we discussed bilateral relations and inviting Swiss companies to Iraq and the file of Iraqi funds frozen in Switzerland, and we signed a memorandum of understanding between Iraq." Switzerland is related to political consultations, and the reopening of the Swiss embassy in Baghdad was also discussed. "
For his part, the Swiss Foreign Minister said at the conference, "My visit to Baghdad will not be the last, and I will tour Amman and Lebanon with the same spirituality and goals towards stability," noting that "Iraq is known to build bridges and we can work together to bring about peace."
He added, "We support the reforms of Iraq and signed a memorandum of joint cooperation on politics, and we also discussed the file of human rights, immigration and the economic situation."
