, the Directorate of Residency, one of the Ministry of Interior formations, announced, on Wednesday, that more than 4 and a half thousand people of foreign workers have deported as a result of their violation of the law during the current year 2021, while it confirmed that foreign workers are subject to the Law of the Ministry of Labor.
The Director of Residency at the Ministry of Interior, Brigadier General Qusay Sobeih, said, according to the official agency, that "the number of foreign workers traveling from the beginning of the current year until now has reached 4,560 people in violation of the law," stressing that "our campaigns continue to monitor violators and take legal measures against them."
He added, "Foreign workers are subject to the Ministry of Labor Law by determining the ratio between foreign and Iraqi workers," noting that "the conditions for residency and granting entry visas for foreign workers are applied in accordance with the Foreigners' Residence Law No. 76 of 2017."
