Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi discussed with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani the role of Iraq in mediating disputes between countries in the region, as well as the challenges facing ISIS.
The Iranian News Agency said that Rouhani congratulated the Iraqi prime minister on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr by phone, welcoming Baghdad's positive role in mediating disputes between the countries of the region, referring to Iraq's role in hosting the Saudi-Iranian talks, in addition to Iraq's stances towards the Palestinian issue.
On the American presence in Iraq, Rouhani said that the United States is playing a double game in its dealings with terrorism, stressing that the American role is always sabotage, and therefore that this presence does not help to establish security and stability in Iraq.
