{Local: Al Furat News} The Ministry of Planning revealed, on Friday, the reasons for the blatant rise in real estate prices and the large gap in the housing sector
The spokesman for the Ministry of Planning, Abdul-Zahra Al-Hindawi, told {Euphrates News} that "the reasons behind the blatant rise in real estate prices and the housing crisis are still continuing, and there is a large gap in the housing sector estimated at 3 million housing units."
He added, "The procedures and plans established to address the housing crisis have not yet entered into force, and there are steps towards announcing the distribution of plots of land, but it takes time and build infrastructure by providing a ground for building these plots."
He concluded by saying: "We need to involve the investment sector, as well as the government's continuation of the measures it has adopted to address this crisis."
