The Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomed the appointment of a new team by the United Nations to investigate the crimes of ISIS in Iraq.
Ministry spokesman Ahmed Al-Sahaf said in a statement received by Mawazine News that "Iraq welcomes the decision of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, to appoint the German Christian Richer, as a special advisor and head of the UN investigation team to enhance accountability for the crimes committed by the terrorist organization "ISIS" in Iraq. succeeding Karim Asad Ahmed Khan from the United Kingdom.
