Khanaqin Police Director, Brigadier General Azad Issa, told NRT Arabia (September 21, 2021), that "the infiltrators are 4 men who were throwing to participate in the Arbaeen ceremonies and go to Karbala, and they do not have an entry visa," explaining that "they were arrested and detained at Khanaqin police station according to Article 8 and Article 39 on breaking border barriers and entry without a visa.
Issa added, "After conducting official investigations with them, they will be deported to their country, and they will not be allowed to enter Iraqi territory."
He explained, "Since the agreement between the Iraqi and Iranian government on the Arbaeen visit, there are dozens of Iranians who entered from the Pervez Khan port after obtaining an entry visa," noting that "most of the Iranian visitors enter from the Munthiriya port."
