, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Trade, Muhammad Hanoun, revealed, on Sunday, the nature of economic relations with neighboring countries, indicating Iraq's desire to develop its economic and trade relations with Turkey.
Hanoun said, "Iraq wishes to develop its economic and trade relations with Turkey, as well as increase the volume of trade exchange between the two countries."
He added, "The Turkish side is also seeking to increase the volume of trade exchange with Iraq and the possibility of contributing with the Iraqi private sector in establishing joint projects, noting that" the volume of trade exchange between Iraq and Turkey amounts to 17 billion dollars, and the two countries aspire to raise it to 20 billion during the coming period.
