The former deputy in the Iraqi parliament, Rizan Sheikh Delir, demanded that women be given a sovereign ministry in the new government, while indicating the need to restructure the Ministry of Women.
And she said in a press statement, "The new government should give women their natural, social, realistic and political right, based on their large percentage in the new parliament, which amounted to more than 90 seats, and this is what qualifies them to play their real role in the Iraqi state."
She stressed the need to give women the right to restore their own ministerial position (the Ministry of Women), due to its importance in our society, and it is a very realistic entitlement in light of its victories in the recent elections.
Sheikh Dler pointed out, “The importance of women occupying a sovereign ministry, in Iraq there are women who are able to do so,” she said.
