Nibras al-Maamouri, head of the Iraqi Women Media Forum, accused some civil society organizations of a particular party of preventing the reinstatement of the Ministry of Women.
Al-Maamouri told Al-Ahd News on Sunday that "these organizations have loyalties to certain parties, which prevent the reinstatement of the Ministry of Women, to keep the grants extended to them."
She explained, that "the survival of the situation or the transformation of the Ministry of Women into a body, allows parties and political parties to have a stake in it, and this in itself legitimization of theft and corruption."
It is noteworthy that the Forum of Iraqi women media campaigned under the slogan "return the Ministry of Women."
