The Iraqi Stock Exchange is trading 10 billion shares worth 7 billion dinars in one month
Shafaq News/ The Iraq Stock Exchange announced today, Saturday, the trading of 10 billion shares, with a financial value of more than 7 billion dinars, during the month of October.
The market stated in a report seen by Shafak News Agency, that "the number of companies whose shares were traded during last October amounted to 51 joint-stock companies, while the shares of 30 companies were not traded due to the difference in the prices offered from those requested by investors, while 23 companies continue to be suspended for not providing disclosure from Out of 105 companies listed on the market.
He added that "the number of traded shares amounted to 10 billion and 613 million and 183 thousand shares with a financial value of 7 billion and 926 million dinars through the implementation of 4875 deals," noting that "the ISX60 traded price index closed at 586,810 points."
He explained that "the number of shares purchased from non-Iraqi investors for the month of October amounted to 1.160 billion shares with a financial value of 1.142 billion dinars through the circulation of 10 joint stock companies, while the number of shares sold from non-Iraqi investors reached 754 million shares with a financial value of 668 million dinars through Trading in 11 joint stock companies.
They remember that the Iraq Stock Exchange organizes five trading sessions per week from Sunday to Thursday, and includes 105 Iraqi joint stock companies representing the sectors of banking, telecommunications, industry, agriculture, insurance, financial investment, tourism and hotels.
