"State of Law" describes the news about al-Maliki's visit to Iran and meeting al-Sadr as "political misleading."
A statement by the media office of the State of Law coalition stated to Shafak News Agency; "Some media outlets, websites and social media circulated news about the president of the State of Law coalition traveling to Iran, as well as a meeting of a delegation from the State of Law coalition headed by Mr. Hassan Al-Sunaid with the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada Al-Sadr."
The statement added; "We confirm that these news are not true and point out that these lies are an open attempt at political slander."
The State of Law coalition called "the media to beware of falling into ambushes of fabricated news promoted by some suspicious channels, and to elicit information from their official sources."
