    A “job number for each employee” is like a “code.” Once you enter it, you find many details about the employee. This is what the Ministry of Planning is working on, as it confirms that it has made great strides, on the way to completing the “job number” project, after generating about three million numbers. Employment in all state institutions.
    The government started the project more than 5 years ago, but it was delayed for many reasons, as the official spokesman for the ministry, Abdul-Zahra Al-Hindawi, told Al-Sabah: “The Minister of Planning, Khaled Batal Al-Najm, headed a ministerial committee, which worked on laying the foundations, recommendations and working mechanisms for the platform. The job number, indicating that the goal of the project is to draw a clearer picture of the number of employees in the public sector, with more detailed numbers about their financial salaries.
    He added, "This project contributes significantly to eliminating the phenomenon of (alien) employees who receive more than one salary.
    The project was supposed to end at the end of 2021 and to be fully implemented on all state institutions, but some technical and logistical issues and the failure to complete employee data in a number of ministries delayed the launch of the project.
    In an interview, Al-Hindawi believes that “when completed, this project will provide an integrated database on state employees, which will contribute to addressing many of the problems that the functional body suffers from, including drawing clear paths for financial spending on wages and salaries,” noting that “the ministry has so far introduced Data of more than two million nine hundred and fifty-five thousand employees in preparation for its launch after completing the data of all state employees.
