    {Economic: Al Furat News} The Ministry of Agriculture intends to export quantities of local honey to global markets after the country has achieved self-sufficiency.
    The official spokesman for the ministry, Hamid Al-Nayef, said that "the ministry is preparing ambitious programs to market local honey to global markets, in addition to increasing its produced quantities in the future, especially after achieving sufficiency with 650 tons."
    He added , "The Iraqi honey from the finest species in the region, and the prices appropriate compared to their counterparts in the world markets, with price ranges per kilo from, from 25 to 60 thousand dinars , " attributing the difference in price to feed the type of bee. "
    Among Naev, that" The Ministry, through its continuous field follow-up, supports licensed beekeepers by providing original vaccines and good scientific nutrition,” noting that “most of the unlicensed beekeepers went to obtain licenses to benefit from the Ministry’s support.”
    In the same context, he revealed "cooperating with companies from the private sector to provide storage containers for bees, as a contribution to finding good means to sell them in the world."
