The Ministry of Agriculture intends to export Iraqi honey to international markets, after achieving a great abundance in production compared to previous years. The Ministry, Hamid Al-Nayef: "The ministry has prepared a plan for exporting honey to global markets, especially since the annual local production of honey increased for this year compared to last year, reaching about 670 tons, produced in all governorates of the country." He added that "self-sufficiency has been achieved by producing it locally," explaining that "Iraqi honey is one of the best types of honey in the world."
