    {Local: Al Furat News} Minister of Commerce Alaa Ahmed Al-Jubouri called, on Tuesday, the Pakistani side to the importance of supporting Iraq’s position in the negotiations it is conducting with the World Trade Organization to join it, and urging Pakistani companies to participate in international and specialized exhibitions inside Iraq.
    And the media of the Ministry of Commerce said in a statement that {Euphrates News} received a copy of it, that “the latter met in his office today, the Pakistani ambassador in Baghdad, Ahmed Amjad Ali, while the two sides discussed during the meeting the importance of activating economic and trade relations between the two countries and working to increase the volume of trade exchange and find mechanisms A new approach to dealing between the Iraqi and Pakistani private sectors through establishing real partnerships between them."
    Minister al-Jubouri stressed, "Iraq seeks to activate its economic and commercial relations with all countries of the world and benefit from economic expertise in this field, and through this we seek to enter the Iraqi private sector with real partnerships," stressing at the same time the importance of the Iraqi-Pakistani Committee holding its meetings in order to finalize the All files related to the two countries, as well as the importance of its role in developing bilateral relations.
    Al-Jubouri explained, during the statement, "the importance of holding the specialized exhibition of Pakistani products to be held early next year, and the importance of presenting all Pakistani industries in their various fields to the Iraqi private sector and encouraging the entry of Pakistani companies into investment projects inside Iraq." 
    He called on the Pakistani side to support Iraq's position in the negotiations it is conducting with the World Trade Organization to join it, and urged Pakistani companies to participate in international and specialized exhibitions inside Iraq, especially those held on the grounds of the Baghdad International Fair, and to work on exchanging visits of trade and economic delegations to consolidate bilateral relations and revitalize the sector Iraqi Special.
    In turn, "the Pakistani ambassador confirmed the desire of his country's government to develop economic and trade relations with the country in light of the developments in the Iraqi economy," stressing that "Pakistan will hold two exhibitions in Baghdad and Erbil early next year that include displaying all Pakistani products and industries as an opportunity for the exchange of ideas and opinions between the private sector in Both countries, and we aspire to revitalize the level of cooperation with Iraq."
