    The political analyst, Saad Muhammad Al-Kaabi, said that the coordination framework and the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan can thwart the project to pass Hoshyar Zebari as President of the Republic, pointing out that passing the president needs more than 200 deputies, which is not available to the Sadrist bloc, the Sunnis and the Democratic Party.
    Al-Kaabi told Al-Maalouma, "The coordination framework and the National Union can achieve more than 100 seats in Parliament, in addition to the fact that there are many independent representatives and other Kurdish parties reject Zebari's candidacy for the post of President of the Republic."
    He added that "the president of the republic needs a vote of two-thirds of parliament members, and therefore the Sadrist movement, the Democratic Party and the Sunnis, cannot achieve this percentage to pass Zebari."
