[size=45]A scandal of high caliber shook the educational circles in the province of Dhi Qar in southern Iraq, when a number of parents rented a large house in an agricultural area located on the road linking the cities of (Sayed Dakhil and Nasiriyah) to teach their children students because there was no school building for them.[/size]
[size=45]There are more than a thousand people in the (Al-Subul Agricultural) area between Nasiriyah and Sayed Dakhil, while there are no middle or middle schools, and the students are without schools, according to Hassan Al-Zerjawi, one of the people of the area who spoke to Shafaq News Agency, noting that “the people of the area They had to rent a house for 10 million dinars per month, for the purpose of educating their children.”[/size]
[size=45]And Al-Azergawi, that "the rented school is a large residential house located in the middle of the area, and this place was rented for the purpose of accommodating the numbers of students, for fear of dropping out and crossing the school stage on them."[/size]
[size=45]He added that "the school currently has about 300 students, each of whom pays 100,000 dinars per month for the purpose of paying the rent, and that the district needs a middle and preparatory school for the next year."[/size]
[size=45]Al-Zergawi pointed out that if no one responds to the appeals, “we will have to build the sewers as a school,” calling for “the speedy establishment of a school in the area, because the rented house does not have a yard or a rest house and it affects the psychology of students in the study.”[/size]
[size=45]A matter of deteriorating psychological state for students inside the school, confirmed by Ahmed Zahir (student), as he explained that “the situation of students in an intermediate school (advocates of the right for boys) is deplorable, because teachers do not work in their specialization, due to the lack of teaching staff in the school, so you find the biology professor taking a subject Chemistry, in addition to restricting students to the class throughout the school day, because there is no yard inside the school, and teachers do not allow them to spend the space outside the school building (the house).[/size]
[size=45]In turn, the mayor of Al-Sabil neighborhood, Hassan Watit, the governor of Dhi Qar, demanded “an urgent solution to the issue of services in the region and the establishment of schools, because they do not accommodate the number of students.”[/size]
[size=45]Wittet stated, “The School of Advocates of Truth is in the place of a house rented by the parents, as the classes are family rooms,” noting that “the people of the area donated lands to the government in order to build a school on it for their student children, but so far there is no result from the government.” “.[/size]
[size=45]On the other hand, the Director General of Dhi Qar Education, Muhammad Lafta, said that “his directorate had earlier opened an elementary school in the area, and later it had opened a middle school building inside the primary school, but clan disputes led to the separation of the two schools.”[/size]
[size=45]Lafta explained, "The primary school remained in one area, and the middle school became in another," noting that "the Education Department has tried more than once to file a judicial complaint because of this situation, but the people in the Al-Subul area insisted on renting a house in order to avoid the problem."
