A joint operation to restore the Mosul Dam American air cover
Nineveh-Iraq-Presse August 16 August: A source in the Ministry of Peshmerga, on Saturday, said the joint operation was launched, this morning, to cleanse the plug connector of the armed groups, with the help of an American air cover and post Peshmerga forces and the Iraqi army.
The source told / Iraq Press / "The Fighter American pounded armed groups near the Mosul Dam, north of Iraq," noting that "the American military operation-Iraqi joint begins at dawn on Saturday to try to restore the dam," noting that "the dam was not affected by the military operation, which has by air flight "
So said a source in the forensic medicine department, said that "11 armed elements were killed, at dawn today, and eight wounded in an American raid on their post in Mosul Dam (50 km north of Mosul)."
He explained that "the dead bodies were transferred to the forensic medicine in Mosul, while the wounded were taken to intensive care"
The news agencies reported that the Kurdish fighters American operations have already begun at dawn on Saturday. The process includes the provision of military aircraft of American air cover for ground forces, Iraqi Kurdish progressing to the ground to try to restore the dam.
The armed groups were able to control the largest power plant 'hydro' in Iraq, within the dam connected on the Tigris River (50 km from Mosul), in the third of the current month of August. Anthy.v. (1)
