Today, Sunday, the leader in the coordination framework, Turki Jadaan Al-Atabi, confirmed that 90 percent of the members of the House of Representatives are against any path to dissolving the parliament.
Al-Otbi said in a press statement, "There are facts in the Iraqi political scene that public opinion must realize that any changes in the state's administration cannot proceed without a national consensus between the sects and components, and the constitution defines the mechanisms for these changes."
He added, "Dissolving Parliament is not an easy decision, because without a road map for the next stage, it will lead us to dangerous slides in Iraq, stressing that through our direct reading with the deputies indicates that 90% of them are against any path to solve it at the present time."
He pointed out that "most forces realize that dissolving parliament and holding early elections must be preceded by the formation of a new government."
Regarding the next stage, Al-Atabi explained that “there must be a national consensus for the next stage in terms of changing the election law and the commission, because part of the problems that are happening now came because of the results of the recent elections and the negative indicators that we identified in advance.”
