On Monday, the prominent leader in the coordination framework, Hassan Fadam, revealed the refusal of the political blocs present in the Iraqi parliament to hold early parliamentary elections during the coming period.
Fadaam said, “We rule out holding early parliamentary elections in the next stage, not even in the distant future, because the experience of early elections will not be successful, especially since any early elections mean the dissolution of the House of Representatives, and this means holding parliamentary elections in the absence of the legislative authority, from the authorities.” Three, and this is a big defect.”
And he indicated that “the presence of the House of Representatives as an oversight body is very important, given that the competing political forces are present in the House of Representatives, and they will certainly not allow any party to falsify or manipulate the election results, and there will be mutual control among the political forces.”
The prominent leader in the coordination framework confirmed that “there is no justification for holding early parliamentary elections, knowing that the coordination framework forces are the losing forces in the previous early parliamentary elections, and despite this loss and despite the observations of these forces on the electoral process, the framework forces did not demand a re-election and holding early elections, rather they called for manual counting and sorting, and went to legal ways to correct the electoral process.”
He concluded by saying, "There is no political party now present in the Iraqi parliament demanding or seeking to hold early parliamentary elections during the next stage, and for this we rule out holding any early elections in the future."
