Today, Sunday, the Al-Wasat Refineries Company set the date for operating the Karbala oil refinery, while indicating that the refinery will reduce the percentage of gasoline imports by about 70 percent.
The company's general manager, Raed Jaber, said that "the operation of the Karbala oil refinery will be at the end of this year," noting that "the most important products of the refinery are gasoline fuel (gasoline), diesel and other products of white oil."
He added, "Operating the refinery will reduce the import of oil derivatives, especially gasoline fuel (gasoline) from 60-70 percent," noting that "80-90% of local consumption needs will be covered after operating this refinery in addition to other refineries." Affiliated with the North Refineries Company and the South Refineries Company.
