    Baghdad/
Today, Friday, Representative Alia Nassif described Kuwait's closure of the entrance to the port of Al-Faw and its complete control of Khor Abdullah as a declaration of economic war on Iraq, while calling on the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs to intervene and protect the interests and sovereignty of Iraq and to file a complaint with the Security Council about this attack.
Nassif said in a statement, "This challenge represented by closing the entrance to Al-Faw port and taking full control of Khor Abdullah coincides with our implementation of the Al-Faw port project, and it is a message from Kuwait that this hatred is not cured only by arbitrary compensation and unfair decisions for which the Iraqi people paid."
She added, "Kuwait was not satisfied with closing the waterway, but also deposited a new map with the United Nations, and this means that this new aggression is not an unilateral act by the Kuwaiti Coast Guard, but rather an official position by the Kuwaiti government, and this means declaring an economic war against Iraq," stressing that "Had it not been for the presence of traitors, agents and bribes, Kuwait would not have persisted and dared to commit this transgression."
Nassif stressed "the necessity of urgent intervention by the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and addressing the highest authority in the Kuwaiti government in a manner that preserves the interests and sovereignty of Iraq, while submitting documents that prove the ownership of this region to Iraq to the United Nations and submitting a complaint to the Security Council in this regard."
