Shafaq News/ Dollar sales to banks and mediation companies rose for the third day in a row, today, Thursday, to reach more than 158 million dollars.
Shafak News Agency correspondent stated, "The Central Bank sold today, during its auction to buy and sell US dollars, 158 million and 86 thousand and 390 US dollars, which were covered by the bank at a base exchange rate of 1460 dinars per dollar, rising for the third consecutive day.
Our correspondent added that 72% of these sales went to enhance balances abroad in the form of remittances and credits, which amounted to 123 million and 836 thousand and 390 dollars, while the rest went in the form of cash sales, which amounted to 34 million and 250 thousand dollars.
Our correspondent indicated that 21 banks have met requests to enhance balances abroad, and 13 banks have responded to cash requests, in addition to 54 financial intermediary companies.
