A member of the House of Representatives, Amer Abdul-Jabbar, revealed that insurance companies will raise their fees for planes and travelers coming to Iraq, "because of the lack of good protection."
Abdul-Jabbar said, in an interview with the American "Al-Hurra" channel, which was seen by "Al-Iqtisad News", that "replacing a solid company to protect Baghdad International Airport with another that does not have similar work only in Afghanistan and Libya, will affect the reputation of Baghdad International Airport."
He added, "The reputation of Baghdad International Airport has become bad and unsafe, which makes the guests of Iraq, including politicians and others, worry and may refuse to come," noting that "the civil defense must change its policies by closing all institutions that threaten the safety of citizens and not only warn them."
He pointed out that the new security company to protect Baghdad Airport was "remiss" in the matter of the two fires that occurred a few days ago, and appeared through "random" videos in extinguishing them.
