An independent deputy in the Iraqi parliament, Hadi al-Salami, announced that 20 billion Iraqi dinars are missing from the funds announced to be recovered, in the case of theft of tax secretariats.
Al-Salami added, in a tweet to him on Twitter today, Monday (November 28, 2022), that 200 billion Iraqi dinars were in Al-Wad Bank / 14 Ramadan branch, and they were obtained 3 days after the arrest of the accused, Nour Zuhair, in the case of theft of tax secretariats.
Al-Salami said that Al-Sudani announced the recovery of 180 billion Iraqi dinars from the looted funds in a press conference, which indicates the loss of 20 billion Iraqi dinars from the seized funds in Al-Wad Bank.
