    Prime Minister Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani discussed today, Monday, with the Gulf Cooperation Council and the Ambassador of the Republic of Yemen to Iraq, the latest preparations to host the 25th Gulf Championship in Basra.

    He added, "The meeting reviewed the overall Iraqi relations with the GCC countries and all Arab countries, and the most prominent areas in which work is being done to develop cooperation and partnership, for the benefit of the Iraqi people and brotherly peoples."

    The Prime Minister, Mr. Muhammad Shayaa Al-Sudani received, this morning, Monday, in Basra, the ambassadors of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries of the Arab Gulf States and the Ambassador of the Republic of Yemen to Iraq.


    During the meeting, they reviewed the overall Iraqi relations with the GCC countries and all Arab countries, and the most prominent areas in which work is being done to develop cooperation and partnership, for the benefit of the Iraqi people and brotherly peoples.


    The meeting included discussing the latest preparations made by Iraq to host the 25th Gulf Championship in Basra, on the sixth of next January. 


    The Prime Minister stressed the importance of this tournament and its distinctive symbolism among the Iraqis and the participating brothers, and the occasion it represents to meet the brothers on the land of hospitable Iraq.
     
    For their part, the ambassadors indicated the support of their countries for the success of this tournament, and highly appreciated the efforts made by Iraq to achieve this goal.
