Today, Monday, the Minister of Planning, Muhammad Al-Tamimi, discussed with the Saudi Minister of Trade, Majid Abdullah Al-Qasabi, the development of bilateral relations between the two countries.
A brief statement of planning, received by (Baghdad Today), stated that "Minister Muhammad Al-Tamimi received today the Minister of Commerce of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and his accompanying delegation, and they discussed strengthening and developing joint cooperation and bilateral relations between the two countries."
Official visits to Baghdad continued, since Iraq became a center for convergence of views between the parties in the region, especially between Iran and Saudi Arabia. Yesterday, the Secretary-General of the Iranian Security Council, Ali Shamkhani, preceded by the Iranian Foreign Minister Abdullahian, visited after the normalization of relations between Tehran and Riyadh.
Abdullahian said that the Baghdad talks contributed to the restoration of relations between Saudi Arabia and Iran, after 5 rounds in Iraq.
