    The joint committee of officials in the ministries of foreign affairs between the Gulf Cooperation Council and Iraq held a meeting via video communication technology.

    A statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the delegation of the Republic of Iraq was headed by Nizar Al-Khairallah, the Senior Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the delegation of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries was headed by Dr. Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Kingdom of Bahrain, the current head of the session.
    During the meeting, they discussed the joint action plan for cooperation between Iraq and the Gulf Cooperation Council in the political, security, and economic fields. Regional and international issues were also reviewed, and the electrical interconnection project with the Gulf Cooperation Council, which contributes to strengthening relations between Iraq and the GCC countries.
