Al-Halbousi said in a statement, of which {Euphrates News} received a copy, that: "The information received indicates the existence of suspicions of financial corruption and an illegal mechanism in the process of assigning transportation contracts (land, sea, and storage) to transport the Qayyarah field crude belonging to the North Oil Company."
He stressed "the need to stop the referral procedures and not to work with this mechanism in the future, to study the issue in a professional and fair manner, and to adopt the competition and advertising mechanism by the North Oil Company to ensure obtaining the best prices."
