[size=30]Half of the Iranian ports with Iraq indicate a decrease in their exports by 67%.. An additional indicator that “destroys” the claim of the Iranian Minister of Commerce

    Yes Iraq: Baghdad

Indications are increasing of a huge decline in Iranian exports to Iraq during the year 2022, which reinforces doubts about the statement of the Iranian Minister of Industry and Trade, who said a few days ago that exports to Iraq increased by 23% in 2022.

The Director of the Iranian Kermanshah Customs confirmed today, Sunday, the decline in Iranian exports to Iraq through the three border crossings of the region, by 67% in terms of volume, and decreased by 12% in terms of financial value.
Ali Asghar Abbaszadeh, Director of Customs of the Iranian Province of Kermanshah, said that the value of Iranian goods and merchandise exports to Iraq from three border crossings amounted to nearly two and a half billion dollars during the 11 months of the Iranian year, which began on the date (21 March 2022), which Expires on the same date and month of the current year.
The semi-official Iranian “Mehr” agency quoted Abbaszadeh as saying that the value of goods and merchandise exports from the province’s official outlets (Parvezkhan, Khosravi, and Sumar) to Iraq amounted to about two billion and 469 million dollars.
He added that the weight of those commodities and merchandise reached nearly 6 million tons, indicating that the exports consisted of steel, tiles, ceramics, building materials, vegetables, fruits, dairy and plastic materials.
The Iranian customs official also indicated that the financial value of goods and goods exported from the three ports to Iraq decreased to 12 percent, while the volume of exports decreased to 67 percent compared to last year.

These border outlets represent nearly half of the 7 border outlets between Iraq and Iran.
To see the volume of Iranian exports to Iraq as preliminary indicators for 2022, the Iranian Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade, Reza Fatemi, said that the volume of his country's exports of goods and merchandise to Iraq increased by 23 percent during the first ten months of the Iranian year, which began on March 21, 2022.
He touched on the country's trade situation with neighboring countries, and stated that during the first ten months of this year, exports to Iraq increased by 23%, Turkey by 46%, the Sultanate of Oman by 63%, Russia by 23%, and African countries by more than 20%. .

Returning to the data of Iran's exports to Iraq during the past year, which begins the Iranian year on March 21 of each year, Iranian commodity exports from March 21, 2021 to March 21, 2022 amounted to $8.9 billion.
On the other hand, Iran's exports from March 21, 2022 to November 21, 2022, i.e. within 8 months, exports amounted to $4.3 billion.
It appears that the average monthly Iranian exports amounted to about 538 million dollars from March 21, 2022 until November 2022, while from March 2021 until March 2022, the monthly average exports amounted to 741 million dollars.
Accordingly, it means that the export rate decreased by 28%, which makes Fatimi's statement surprising, before the statement of the Director of Kermanshah Customs came to confirm the inaccuracy of the statement of the Iranian Minister of Industry and Trade.
And while the rate of Iranian exports to Iraq during 2022 per month is $538 million, which means that within 11 months, Iran's total exports to Iraq will amount to $5.9 billion.
Thus, the interior of half of the border crossings between Iran and Iraq, the “three ports,” amounting to 2.5 billion dollars, is equivalent to 42% of the total entry into Iraq of Iranian exports during the 11 months, “from March 2022 to February 2023.”
