    [size=45]Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, held a meeting today; To follow up on the performance of the Holding Company for Metallurgical Industries and its subsidiaries, in the presence of Eng. Mahmoud Esmat, Minister of Public Business Sector, and Eng. Mohamed El Saadawi, Chairman of the Holding Company for Metallurgical Industries.[/size]
    [size=45]The Prime Minister started the meeting, by referring to the importance the state attaches to the fields of various metallurgical industries, mining and refractories, and the efforts being made to provide the necessary support to give them the competitive advantage in the local and foreign markets, in a way that contributes to the development of the national economy.[/size]
    [size=45]During the meeting, Engineer Mahmoud Esmat reviewed the most important indicators of the consolidated budget of the holding company, as well as the various classifications of subsidiaries, explaining what is produced through its subsidiaries of metal products such as steel rods and wires, glass, porcelain, china, ferro-silicon alloys, pipes, and iron products.[/size]
    [size=45]Engineer Mohamed El-Saadawy, Chairman of the Holding Company for Metallurgical Industries, touched on the development and restructuring projects of a number of companies, led by the Soda Ash project and its derivatives, which aims to meet Egypt’s needs of Soda Ash and contribute to the expansion of industries related to Soda Ash, such as glass, detergents, and more. The added value of the Egyptian lime ore, as well as the mineral silicon project, which aims to bridge the import gap of mineral silicon and the optimal exploitation of quartz ore, which supports the optimal exploitation strategy for wealth.[/size]
    [size=45]In the same context, the development and restructuring projects of Misr Aluminum Company included a project to establish a new smelter in Safaga, a project to rehabilitate the current smelter to reach the design capacity and extend the operating life to 25-30 years, as well as a project to produce alumina from bauxite ore in order to secure supply chains for the current smelter. And future expansions, and the project to establish a solar power plant to provide 35% of the current electricity consumption in Egypt Aluminum from clean energy, and a project to generate electricity from wind with the aim of providing electricity to Egypt Aluminum from clean energy at a competitive price, in line with the state’s strategy to increase the supply of renewable energy, as well About the foil production project, and the rims production project.[/size]
    [size=45]The meeting witnessed a review of a number of proposed projects for the development of the Egyptian Company for Ferroalloys, as well as the proposed projects for the development of the Nasr Mining Company, as well as the billet production project for the Delta Steel Company, the project for developing the Egyptian Copper Company, and the project for establishing the semi-industrial unit in the Iron and Steel Company for Mines and Quarries, in addition to To the development project of Alexandria Refractories Company, the production of base refractories, and the project to develop El-Nasr Company for the manufacture of pipes.[/size]
