    The Finance Committee in the House of Representatives announced today, Monday, an increase in employee allocations by 4 trillion, while it indicated securing student scholarships, allocating more than a trillion to increase the salaries of retirees, and increasing social welfare allocations.

    The committee stated, in a conference following the vote on the 2024 budget schedules, that there was “an increase in employee allocations by 4 trillion to secure the salaries of employees, new appointees, and retirees, and to implement the terms of contracts, appointments, and those whose contracts were terminated,” stressing that “an amount of one trillion and 250 billion dinars has been allocated to secure the achieved increase in the salaries of retirees, in addition to To secure end-of-service gratuity allocations for civilian and military retirees.

    She added, "An amount of 5 trillion dinars has been allocated to secure farmers' entitlements to purchase wheat and barley crops."

    The committee recommended that the Iraqi government "make a transfer of 2 trillion dinars to increase the regional development budget," stressing at the same time "secure scholarships for university and school students."
