[rtl]The local government in Nineveh Governorate complained about the lack of allocations for the governorate in the federal budget for the year 2024.[/rtl]
[rtl]The allocations in the federal budget for the year 2024 for Nineveh Governorate are estimated at approximately 400 billion dinars.[/rtl]
[rtl]In this regard, the head of the Nineveh Provincial Council, Ahmed Al-Hasoud, said, “The allocations in the budget for the year 2024 are not sufficient for the governorate’s need for projects in the governorate, even though the budget has been reduced for all governorates and not just for Nineveh.”[/rtl]
[rtl]Ahmed Al-Hasoud explained, “In the previous budget, the allocations were about double the amount allocated in this budget.”[/rtl]
[rtl]The head of the Nineveh Provincial Council pointed out that “Nineveh, after the destruction that occurred there and the events of the terrorist organization ISIS, needs to rebuild its infrastructure, especially in the right of Mosul, Sinjar and the villages that were destroyed by the organization ISIS and military operations.”[/rtl]
[rtl]He also stated that "Nineveh needs financial allocations related to securing the return of the displaced to it, so the governorate needs more allocations," stressing that "Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani provides support to the governorate."[/rtl]
[rtl]The budget for the year 2024, according to what Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani announced, amounts to 211 trillion dinars, and the salaries of employees for the year 2024 amount to 62 trillion dinars, while the budget for the year 2023 amounted to 199 trillion dinars and the salaries of employees 59 trillion dinars.[/rtl]
