    On Thursday, the Federal Integrity Commission announced that the Basra Investigation Directorate carried out (12) seizure operations in a number of governorate departments as part of the field inspection campaign carried out by the commission's investigation directorates and offices, during which suspects and materials subject to damage and extinction were seized, in addition to monitoring the loss of hundreds of tons of foodstuffs
    In a statement received by Al-Iqtisad News, the Commission's Investigation Department said, "A team from the Basra Investigation Directorate seized oil materials worth (4,780,000) million dollars, left in the camp of the Korean Samsung company in the West Qurna / 2 field," explaining that "the company It relinquished it to the Basra Oil Company after completing its work in the field during the year 2017.
    She pointed out that "the materials were left 6 years ago in an unroofed yard that is subject to damage due to weather conditions and were not entered into storage," stressing that "the commercial department in the Basra Oil Company was notified that the materials may not be disposed of, except by a judicial decision."
    The department stated that, “By going to the General Company for Grain Trade / Basra branch, the team monitored the loss of (694) tons of Thai rice, and formed an investigative committee that proved the negligence of (3) employees, but they were not included in the amount of lost rice quantities, while in the Basra Agriculture Directorate It was noticed that (65) agricultural pullers were lost, which were equipped by the governorate to the Directorate, which in turn handed them over to the farmers without providing sufficient guarantees, but only signing written pledges.” Cultivation (Qurna, Zubair, Izz al-Din Salim, and Medina).
    And she added, "An employee of the real estate registration office in Abi Al-Khasib was caught red-handed by receiving a bribe from one of the auditors, in return for handing over the transaction received from the auditing board of the Real Estate Registration Directorate in the governorate," noting that "the initials of a contract concluded between the Shiite Endowment Directorate and a person were seized." A real estate with an area of ​​(3 acres and 15 acres) was contracted and entered into the bidding illegally, as the bidder is a government employee who continues to serve.
    In addition, "the property was contracted by the Sunni Endowment Directorate as well." And at the University of Basra, “the first (19) teachers were seized in the Faculties of Science, Physical Education and Mathematical Sciences. They were excluded and denied confirmation of the permanent staff, despite their actual commencement on 10/1/2019, as the assignment book was issued after that date, and in the College of Arts At the same university, tampering with students’ grades for the years (2018 to 2020) was revealed.” In Qurna Hospital.
    The Directorate's team monitored the use of forged tickets in the children's consultation, and the medical examination receipts for the new recruits, and the original receipts for the medical examination "swaths" were seized for the recruits, which amounted to (20) notebooks of the category (50) receipts for each of them during the period between (1-14/2) /2023), as well as setting the priorities for the purchase and delivery of medicines, after noticing a difference between the medicines prepared for the hospital pharmacy and the medicines dispensed.
    And she noted the "organization of fundamental records, and presenting them, along with the exhibits, to the investigative judges in the governorate, in order to take appropriate measures, determine the party of negligence, and issue appropriate judicial decisions against them."
