A statement by the Kurdistan Regional Government stated, "The President of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, congratulated all the Kurds on the occasion of the happy Newroz holidays."
Barzani called, according to the statement, on citizens to "preserve the cleanliness of the environment and the purity of the picturesque nature of Kurdistan during their outings and travels, as well as adhere to traffic instructions and avoid speeding while driving."
