Shafaq News/ The ministers and officials of the Kurdistan Regional Government of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan decided, on Sunday, to boycott the cabinet meetings, in protest against the administration of the region's affairs, stressing at the same time that they will continue to perform their governmental duties.

"The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan team in the ninth booth of the Kurdistan Regional Government decided to boycott all cabinet meetings, but they continue to provide services to citizens," said Samir Hawrami, the spokesman for the deputy prime minister of the regional government, during a press conference held in Sulaymaniyah and attended by Shafaq News agency.
He added, "The team has observations and problems about the administration of the government in the Kurdistan Region, especially those related to the reality of Sulaymaniyah Governorate and its affiliated areas."
Hawrami also indicated that "the two main parties in the region (the Kurdistan Democratic Party and the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan) held a meeting to discuss and solve these problems and observations, but so far there have been no repercussions of that meeting on the ground."
"Our problem with the administration is about how to provide services to citizens, so we are continuing in the ministries to provide services to citizens," he said, noting that no date has yet been set for the upcoming meeting between the two parties to complete discussions and understandings.
