Today, Monday, the Ministry of Finance affirmed its support for the efforts to improve the living conditions of retirees and employees, while clarifying the fact that it did not agree to increase the salaries of retirees.

The ministry said, in a statement received by Alsumaria News, that it "expresses its surprise at the statements circulating in some media circles, which claim (Minister of FinanceTaif Sami's refusal to approve proposals to increase the salaries of retirees).

And she added, "The launch of these rumors was based on false information promoted by those who adopt cheap attempts seeking to offend the reputation of the ministry and its people, and in a miserable attempt to gain the support of lurking parties whose goal is to undermine the ministry's efforts in the journey of bringing about fundamental reforms in favor of the Iraqi financial reality."

The Ministry reaffirmed that it is an executive body in accordance with the law under which it operates, and is committed to applying and implementing the laws and decisions legislated and issued byCouncil of MinistersAnd it is not concerned with submitting or rejecting any decisions or recommendations issued by the government.”

And it expressed “its keenness to guarantee the financial rights of all segments of society, and it spares no effort in the path of improving the living conditions of retirees and employees alike.”

The ministry called on all media and public opinion to “do not adopt irresponsible gossip and statements, and to refer to the official and reliable sources of the ministry in order to verify facts and accurate information and their integrity.” She noted

that “all decisions and instructions issued by it are published through the ministry's websites and official accounts, and it is not responsible for any information or news issued outside its official website and accounts and pages on social media that are documented with the blue mark.
