The General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers affirmed, today, Wednesday, the agreement of Iraq and Saudi Arabia to cooperate in the field of developing the reality of agriculture, the date industry and the environmental file. and confronting climate change.
The spokesman for the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, Haider Majeed, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The Minister of Agriculture, Abbas Al-Alaywi, met the Saudi Undersecretary of the Ministry of Agriculture in the Saudi city of Jeddah, on the sidelines of the Coordination Council between the two countries, to discuss prospects for cooperation in the field of developing the agricultural sector."
He added, "There is a great ambition on both sides in the field of exchanging experiences and working to develop the agricultural reality, especially the reality of palm trees and the date industry, as well as cooperation in the field of fish wealth."
He added, "There is joint cooperation in accordance with the vision of the Iraqi government plan to confront climate change, and a memorandum of understanding is scheduled to be signed between the two sides in the environmental field and the activation of previous memorandums of understanding in this regard."[/size]
