Committee member Representative Adnan Al-Juhaishi told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The development road project, which extends for a length of more than a thousand kilometers, will start from the Iraqi ports overlooking the Gulf to the Iraqi-Turkish triangle, which is a railway linking area between the Gulf and Turkey," noting that "Iraq is counting on On this trade route to revive the commercial and economic sector.
Al-Juhaishi added, "Baghdad will witness next Saturday a meeting of neighboring countries and the Gulf Cooperation Council to discuss the development road project that connects Basra with Turkey," pointing out that "the project agreed upon between Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, during his recent visit." For Ankara it will be economic and commercial.
He continued, "The Conference of Transport Ministers of Neighboring Countries and the Gulf Cooperation Council aims to discuss the promising project for all countries in the region, which is a vital path," noting that "the project connects Iraq with the world and European countries, and the presence of these countries will strengthen cooperation and economic interdependence with Iraq."
He pointed out that "the project will work to attract the Iraqi labor force and reduce unemployment, which is a major and vital strategic project," expressing his hope that "the project will be completed in the best way and see the light in the field."[/size]
