    Today, Sunday (July 30, 2023), the Parliamentary Communications Committee revealed the existence of a government approach aimed at obtaining funds owed by telecommunications companies.
    The head of the committee, Zahra Al-Bajari, said, "There is a real government trend aimed at obtaining the funds owed by telecommunications companies, according to legal procedures, and whoever violates this exposes himself to legal accountability, as this is public money and cannot be waived at all."
    Al-Bajari explained in an exclusive interview with "Baghdad Today", that "the previous governments, unfortunately, did not pay much attention to the file of recovering the money owed by the telecommunications companies, despite all the parliamentary demands for that, but the current government is serious about resolving this file away from any compliments and pressures, and there is Great parliamentary support for this approach.
    And last Tuesday (July 25, 2023), Ali Al-Moayyed, head of the executive body of the Media and Communications Authority, confirmed that work is underway to recover the money owed by telecommunications companies in the “correct way.”
    Al-Moayad said in a press conference followed by "Baghdad Today", that "with regard to what we mentioned about a black box, it includes all the pending files of telecommunications companies and non-communication companies, and there are many files that take their legal course and reassure citizens that there is no money left owed by one of these companies except that the Commission will recover This money the right way.
    He added, "The legal procedures for dealing are complex and specialized procedures, but the committee carries out all these procedures, and the oversight institutions and state institutions have full knowledge of these files and how to deal with them."
