The Federal Financial Supervision Bureau and the region began auditing the financial accounts of the regional government's expenditures, while the latter issued directives to all ministries to cooperate with the committees to complete the audits as soon as possible.

A member of the committee told semi-official Kurdish media outlets affiliated with "NAS" (8 August 2023), that "the audit of revenues and expenditures for the year 2021 has been completed, and now the audit of data for the first six months of this year has begun."
"We cannot set a specific date, but we hope to complete the audits within 10 days," said Daoud Suleiman, head of the Advanced Supervision Authority in the Office of Financial Supervision in the regional government.
He added, "The committees have been granted all facilities to complete audits in the near future, and they must complete their work days before the end of this month."
