Today, Wednesday, former member of the House of Representatives, Ghaleb Muhammad, explained the main reason behind not finding a solution to the Kurdistan Region employee salaries crisis, while confirming that Kurdish employees want to link their salaries to the federal government.

Muhammad said, in an interview with Al-Maalouma, that “the employee salaries crisis in the Kurdistan region, and various other problems occurring between the governments of Baghdad and Erbil, will not be solved in any way.”
He added, "The Kurdish delegations that go to the capital bear responsibility for not reaching solutions to these issues, because they conduct their visits in a partisan nature and are only concerned with their interests and do not want the interest of the Kurdish citizen, which is their last concern."
The former MP explained, "The employees of the region want to pay their financial dues and have their monthly salaries linked to the federal government, like the rest of the Iraqi state employees."
Muhammad confirmed, "There is a popular and political movement pressuring the regional government to comply with the demands of the federal government and the Parliamentary Finance Committee, which is to provide them with real lists of the names of the region's employees."
Earlier, a member of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Ghayath Al-Surji, confirmed that the political differences between Baghdad and Erbil had negatively affected the salaries of the region’s employees, pointing out that the situation of the employees is not likely to be linked to the political differences between the two governments, as they are employees like the rest of the governorate’s employees.
Last week, a Kurdish delegation headed by the Minister of Finance of the Kurdistan Region visited the capital, Baghdad. To try to find a solution to the Kurdistan Region employee salaries crisis, at a time when the Ministry of Finance asked the regional government to provide it with lists of employee names. Ended/25 Rs
