Al-Saadi said in an interview with Al-Maalouma, “Iraq has train railways that have important infrastructure extending from the capital towards the south, center and west, and they connect several governorates, but they were damaged after 2003 in addition to neglect, even though they constitute strategic hubs not for transporting citizens but goods.” Petroleum products and other materials.
He added, "The Sudanese government has developed a road map of 5 axes to revive Iraq's railways by reviving its traditional lines and starting to transport materials and goods, in addition to adopting development projects for some lines in particular, and one of the most important axes is the development road."
He expected that "a series of train and road projects will be launched during the next three years to increase the ability of railways to meet Iraq's requirements for accepting goods." Ended 25 February
