    [rtl]Baghdad - Iraq Today:

The Parliamentary Services and Reconstruction Committee held a meeting to discuss the outcome of the recommendations resulting from the field movement of the committee members and to count the lagging projects amounting to 1,400 projects for various service sectors.[/rtl]

[rtl]The media office of the House of Representatives stated in a press statement, “The Chairman of the Services and Reconstruction Committee, Representative Al-Hamidawi, opened the door for interventions during the meeting to listen to the suggestions and visions of the members of the Services Committee, which focused on bridging the gap between the executive and legislative authority and the necessity of cooperation, activating the legislative role, and moving forward projects that fall within the jurisdiction of the Services Committee.” Chief among them is the law on the capital, slums, housing and roads.”[/rtl]
[rtl]The attendees discussed the outcome of the recommendations resulting from the movement of the members of the Field Services Committee and the statistics of the lagging projects amounting to 1,400 projects for various service sectors and the importance of following them up and stopping the bleeding of waste of public money resulting from the companies’ reluctance, inefficiency, and ability to deliver according to the standards specified in the contracts and stipulated periods.[/rtl]
[rtl]It was decided during the discussion to prioritize hosting the Parliamentary Services and Reconstruction Committee for governors and ministers and field visits to projects in all governorates of Iraq, as well as projects for liberated cities for the purpose of support, follow-up and evaluation by the Parliamentary Services and Reconstruction Committee, according to the statement.[/rtl]
