An informed source revealed today, Tuesday (October 31, 2023), that the Hamas delegation came to Baghdad at the invitation of 3 Iraqi political forces.
The source said in an interview with "Baghdad Today", "The Hamas delegation that recently visited Baghdad came at the invitation of three political forces, but the meetings extended to nine with various political and religious elites and leaders, some of which were announced."
He added, "The delegation had five demands, the most prominent of which was gaining greater support for the Gaza battle, the importance of the elites continuing to support the Palestinian cause, putting pressure on supporting the entry of aid, and showing the scale of the Israeli massacres that are taking place."
He pointed out that "the delegation provided clarifications about what is happening in Gaza currently," stressing that "the delegation did not meet any official government figure during its visit, according to the information."
Last Sunday, a delegation from the Palestinian Hamas movement visited the capital, Baghdad, and discussed with the Secretary-General of Asaib Ahl al-Haq movement, Qais Khazali, in addition to active forces in the political scene, the latest developments in the situation in the besieged Gaza Strip.
